Windows 7 boot and Ghost and so on

hi

Do you want a windows 7 dvd with tools to solve problems with some tools?

(ghost, …)

you can set up a Windows 7 USB/DVD with the microsoft tool

http://santospardos.blogspot.com/2011/01/windows-7-usbdvd-download-tool-doesnt.html

With this USB, you can copy the tools inside.

(copy the Ghost32.exe file, or whatever file inside the tool)

You can start the machine with the USB tool

When you have the Windows 7 start screen

Try SHIFT + F10 to open a CLI

and you can execute any tool from c:, d:, e: g:, h: and so on drive.

NOTE: Use the x86 DVD to do everything. The ghost tool and so on only runs in x86 software.

NOTE 2: You can use de System REcovery tool to open the cli command as well

Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool doesn’t boot the machine.

Hi

Yes, the Windows 7 UsB/DVD download tool only copies the files

image

You need to set up the USB to boot:

So, you need to follow these steps first:

DISKPART

LIST DISK

SELECT DISK 1 (Disk 1 is the USB)

CLEAN

CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY

SELECT PARTITION 1

ACTIVE

FORMAT FS=NTFS

(Format process may take few seconds)

ASSIGN

EXIT

and now

You can run the Windows 7 USB/dVD tool, and the USB boot well

BE CAREFULL: You need a 4G USB stick or more

type “list disk” and you will see all connected disks and numbers

select disk X (X being the number of the usb disk )

Windows 7. XP Mode.

Hi
I am testin Windows 7 and XP Mode.
My version is in Spanish because the windows 7 RC is the first version with the spanish language inside. Before you needed to install the language from a new language package.
But, I am going to write something about XP Mode.
I am a Tablet PC with 2 G rAM.
I am testing x64 version.
All piece of software run well. So, you can use x64 Windows 7 version without problems.

The XP Mode runs well. It runs in 1-2 minutes.
Some applications run well.
Som applications run not well (see MagicIso image)
XP Mode is a beta version, so , Microsoft needs to work to improve the version. ;-)

My applications in XP Mode.

Mspaint in Windows 7. Total Commander in XP Mode. See the differents frameworks.

MagicIso starts well, but I have this window in the desktop. Sometimes the Magiciso close suddenly.
He, There is a step-by-step in Spanish

Windows 7, too many versions

You need to add Enterprise version

I think, Microsoft will do the same error as Windows Vista.

Two versions will be right. One versíon for home, another for company.

I suppose, Nobody in Microsoft will read this post. ;-(
Nobody in Microsoft will follow my advise, ;-(
